This set of Hawk Owl photographs were taken after standing for five hours in knee deep snow. I was lucky in that this Owl dropped to a lower perch after the wind picked up. It was well worth the wait. Hawk Owls are one of a few Owl species that do not normally hunt during the evening or night.
